Dr. Gyal Y. Gapani is an accomplished academic and practitioner dedicated to quality service and sustainable economic development in Nigeria. Born on February 5, 1959, in Yimir-mugza, Borno State, he currently serves as an Associate Partner at J. E. Bala and Company in Abuja. Dr. Gapani holds a PhD in Public Financial Management from Atlantic International University, where he is also pursuing a Post Doctorate Degree in Sustainable Development. His extensive academic background includes multiple master’s degrees and honorary doctorates in Financial Management and Leadership.

With over 35 years of experience in civil service, Dr. Gapani has worked across various tiers of government and collaborated with esteemed organizations such as the World Bank and the African Development Bank. He has empowered over 500 youths by providing meaningful employment opportunities, earning commendations for his integrity and professionalism. Fluent in English and Hausa, and currently learning French, he is also an active member of the All Progressive Congress (APC), engaging in initiatives that promote socioeconomic growth. Dr. Gapani’s commitment to community development and his passion for education make him a valuable asset to the academic and professional landscape in Nigeria.
