Dr. Stéphane Narcis is an internationally acclaimed academic, educator, and wellness innovator whose career bridges the worlds of higher education, intercultural communication, and holistic wellbeing.

Recognised globally for his transformative contributions to media, culture, and communication studies, Dr. Narcis has earned multiple doctoral degrees and post-doctorates, including the Post-Doctorate Award by Prior Publication jointly awarded by the American University of Business and Social Sciences (AUBSS) and QAHE, in recognition of his prolific academic contributions.

With over 15 years of international teaching experience across Europe and Réunion Island, Dr. Narcis is a Distinguished Professor of Media and Communication (QAHE), Honorary Professor (IIU), and Professor at Unilogos and Kennedy Baptist University.

He holds a PhD in Film Studies (Selinus University), DLitt and PDLitt degrees from California University FCE and Euro-Asian University, and advanced degrees from King’s College London and the University of Winchester.

His research investigates the representation of ethnic minorities in French media and cinema, social stratification, and identity politics. He has authored several academic books and journal articles, and is recognised as one of Asia’s Outstanding Researchers of the Year and a recipient of the Excellence in Research Award.

Beyond academia, Dr. Narcis is a passionate advocate for wellness and self-empowerment through dance and movement. As a licensed Zumba® Instructor (ZIN™) and the visionary founder of Vibe by Stéphane, he designs and leads uplifting Zumba sessions in Réunion Island and worldwide, focusing on improving mental health, self-esteem, confidence, and joy through rhythm and community.

Vibe by Stéphane is more than fitness: it’s a global mission to empower people emotionally and physically, blending the arts, movement, and mindset transformation.

Dr. Narcis’s unique career trajectory from scholarly publication to high-energy Zumba events exemplifies the possibilities of academic versatility and social impact.
