The American University of Business and Social Sciences (AUBSS), in collaboration with the International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary & Higher Education (QAHE), is pleased to announce that Ts. Lim Lee Kwang has been awarded the Doctor of Engineering (Honoris Causa) in Manufacturing Engineering and Technology Innovation.

Ts. Lim Lee Kwang is an accomplished manufacturing engineering leader with more than two decades of professional experience in high-technology and advanced manufacturing environments. Currently serving as Director of Manufacturing Engineering at Advanced Energy Industries in Penang, Malaysia, he provides strategic leadership across manufacturing engineering, automation, process improvement, equipment capability, and operational transformation.

Throughout his career, Ts. Lim has focused on strengthening manufacturing capability, implementing automation, enhancing process robustness, and driving technology-enabled transformation. His work emphasises the practical application of engineering knowledge to deliver measurable improvements in productivity, quality, cost efficiency, reliability, and long-term business competitiveness. He has led cross-functional teams in process and industrial engineering, programme and project management, and continuous process improvement, while collaborating with global R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to optimise technical standards and manufacturing practices.

In addition to his extensive industry leadership, Ts. Lim is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy research programme in Technological Management at Selinus University. His research focuses on “Integrating Automation and Operations Management for Cleanroom Manufacturing Transformation,” reflecting his commitment to advancing applied engineering knowledge through scholarly inquiry with strong industrial relevance.

The conferment of the Doctor of Engineering (Honoris Causa) recognises Ts. Lim Lee Kwang’s sustained professional contributions to manufacturing engineering excellence, technology innovation, and organisational transformation. This honorary distinction acknowledges individuals who have demonstrated significant impact in their fields through applied expertise, leadership, and meaningful contribution to industry and society.
