We are pleased to announce that Tan Choon Yi Roger has been awarded the prestigious Doctor of Business Administration (Honoris Causa), jointly conferred by the American University of Business and Social Sciences (AUBSS) and the International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary and Higher Education (QAHE).
Roger is a self-motivated and creative professional, recognized for his significant contributions to various fields. He has presented at the Wired NextFest in Los Angeles and designed a marketing video for the Global Economic Summit in San Jose. Additionally, he was a runner-up in the International L’Oreal Marketing Awards and received the RAISE Award from the Singapore University of Social Science for his work aiding prisoners at Singapore Changi Prison.
With strong quantitative skills and a flair for writing, Roger has published numerous research papers and successfully acquired sponsorships for start-up initiatives. His ability to translate complex business plans into profitable representations has facilitated substantial investments, including $2 million in 2014.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the Singapore University of Social Science, Roger’s educational background includes a Master’s in Finance from Imperial College London and various other prestigious qualifications. He is fluent in English and Mandarin and possesses a basic knowledge of French.
Beyond his academic and professional achievements, Roger is deeply committed to community service, volunteering at hospices and writing wellness articles for prisoners. His dedication to helping others exemplifies the values that this honorary degree seeks to recognize.
